We are very pleased to introduce our new colleague, Pola, who has joined the Practice this summer. She brings with her some new and enhanced skills and treatments and we are very excited that she has joined us. As well as providing our usual podiatric care, Pola will be instrumental in developing and growing our musculoskeltal / sports podiatry capabilities, including prescribing bespoke orthotics, rehabilitation programmes and therapeutic massage. She will be working both in clinic and undertaking home visits. Here is a brief outline from Pola about herself…
“Hello !
I graduated with a first-class BSc degree in Podiatry from the University of Southampton, and I have a keen interest in all aspects of Podiatric Medicine, particularly Musculoskeletal podiatry. My focus includes overuse injuries, muscular imbalances as well as aiding athletes in their recovery or training. The knowledge and experience that I have gained and my hands-on approach allows me to develop tailored treatment plans. With experience in private practice and the NHS, I have treated a diverse range of patients and gained expertise in addressing a comprehensive range of foot conditions. I enjoy looking after all patients, whether they are coming in for routine nail and skin care, or a patient undertaking high level sports. In 2019, I published research in the British Journal of Rheumatology, focusing on quality patient centered care.
Alongside my professional pursuits, in my spare time, I am a keen runner and enjoy walking on Dartmoor.”
